The Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd has selected the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad, to establish a Chair for studies in land, housing, urban and transport economics for a period of three years during 2015-18. The focus of the programme will be on financing issues of urban development. The total budget sanctioned is ₹60 lakh with a maximum of ₹20 lakh a year with ceiling of ₹10 lakh for one activity.
