The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will hold its Southern India Regional Conference on Friday to discuss recent changes in Foreign Exchange Management Act, 2000, Secretarial Audit, and Secretarial Standards – 1 & 2.
The 40th regional meet is to be held on June 19 and 20 at The Capitol Hotel, Raj Bhavan Road, Bengaluru. The theme is ‘Meeting the Challenges – Setting the Standards’ and will be deliberate upon the sub-themes during the six technical sessions.
The other topics covered at the meet include Board of Directors report and annual return, panel discussion on proposed Clause 36 and revised Clause 49 of Listing Agreement and Board Evaluation.
According to Nagendra D Rao, Chairman of the meet, N Sivasailam, Additional Chief Secretary, Karnataka Public Enterprises Department, is the chief guest and key note speakers include Suresh C Senapaty, Member of Board: Wipro Enterprises & Wipro GE Health Care, Bengaluru.
Other speakers include B Ravi, K Sethuraman, R Sridhar, PK Nagpal, Dr V R Narasimhan, Sandip Ghose, Narayan Shankar, Savithri Parekh, Shailashri Bhaskar, Amit Tandon, Harini Balaji.
Sri Veereshananda Saraswathi Swami, Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram, Tumkur, will be the chief guest at the valedictory session on June 20.
