The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has dropped three Ministers from the council and inducted three new Ministers, according to an official announcement.
The portfolios of some of the Ministers have also been changed.
Dropped
The three Ministers dropped from the Cabinet are: S. Gokula Indira, Minister for Tourism; N.R. Sivapathy, Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare, Law, Courts and Prisons; and Dr V.S. Vijay, Minister for Health.
Inducted
Those inducted into the Council are: T.P. Poonachi, MLA from Manachanallur Constituency; Dr Vaigaichelvan, MLA from Aruppukottai; and K.V. Veeramani, Chief Government Whip and MLA from Jolarpettai.
Poonachi will be the Minister for Khadi and Village Industries, which was held by P. Chendur Pandian, who will now be the Minister for Tourism.
Dr Vaigaichelvan will be the Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare.
K.C. Veeramani will be the Minister for Health, Medical Eduction and Family Welfare.
Portfolios
The portfolios of law, courts and prisons, personnel and administrative reforms and prevention of corruption will be additionally allocated to K.P. Munusamy, according to the announcement.
