Karnataka has signed a Letter of Intent with Midi Pyrenees region of France at Toulouse.
The LoI aims to deepen and take forward the existing relationship between Karnataka and Midi Pyrenees Region through bilateral co-operation in the areas of civil aeronautics and aerospace, software certifications, embedded systems for transports, design and testing, aircraft interiors, R&D, energy efficient systems in the aerospace sector, robotics, agri and food processing, tourism, water management, etc, for economic benefit between the two regions.
The high level delegation led by R V Deshpande, Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Tourism was hosted by Martin Malvy, President of the Region Midi Pyrenees.
In his speech, Malvy fondly reminisced the wonderful interactions he had with India through the 1980s and was all praise for the city of Bengaluru and what it has to offer for companies from the region. The delegation interacted with senior members of several member companies of the region.
Earlier in the day, Deshpande visited the Airbus A380 assembly plant and had detailed discussions with senior management on the company’s future plans in India.
