Kerala Tourism’s stall themed around Western Ghats drew a huge crowd at the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, recently.
Union Tourism Minister K. Chiranjeevi visited the stand at the 33rd edition of FITUR held between January 30 and February 3. FITUR is an influential tourism trade fairs and attracts business participants and travel media from around the globe.
Last year, Kerala Tourism had won the ‘best stand’ award at FITUR. This year, its delegation was led by State tourism Secretary Suman Billa. Kerala witnessed an increase of 6.95 per cent in the arrival of tourists from Spain in 2011 compared to the previous year.
