The WIPS (Women in Public Sector) wing of KIOCL Ltd organised an awareness talk on ‘chain snatching’ at its corporate office in Bengaluru for employees and residents of KIOCL colony.
The special interactive session was addressed by Dr Rohini Katoch Sepat, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-East Bengaluru.
Dr. Rohini called upon residents to accept the reality of increased crime in society and to be more vigilant. She explained in detail about recent crimes on women.
She emphasised on the precautionary measures that should be taken and the need to report crimes to the police.
The participants interacted directly with the police officer and raised awareness about the recent spree of chain snatching cases in Bengaluru.
Malay Chatterjee, CMD of KIOCL, appreciated the role of WIPS in organising the awareness programme for the benefit of society.
WIPS’ Asha Kiran, Soumy Rani, and Prema Madan spoke at the meet.
