Korean Water Resources Corporation (K-Water), an arm of the South Korean government, is keen on participating in the water grid project of Telengana. The ₹25,000-crore project is aimed at creating a network of pipelines across the 10 districts, providing drinking water and water for irrigation.
Representatives of K-Water have met Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma here on Thursday to discuss the project.
“They have in-principle agreed to participate in the project. They might take up works in some segments,” an official release said.
The State government is planning to tap all the water resources to distribute water to all the habitats in the State. It held a meeting with pipe manufacturers too.
