The departure timings of five out-bound long distance trains whose journey commences on June 19 / June 20 have been re-scheduled.
Train number 15647 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) -Guwahati will leave LTT at 7:30 pm (scheduled departure 8.05 am), Mumbai CST - Bhubaneshwar-Konark express will leave at 8.40 pm instead of 3.10 pm; Mumbai CST -Chennai express at 9.15 pm instead of 2 pm;Kanyakumari express at 7.10 pm instead of 3.45 pm and Mahanagari express to Varanasi at 7.40 pm (instead of 12.10 am on June 20).
Incessant rains in Mumbai disrupted suburban and long distance railway services on Friday. Central Railway has suspended services between Mumbai CST - Kurla on the main line and Mumbai CST- Mankhurd on the harbour line due to waterlogging.
Long distance trains coming into Mumbai have either been short terminated or cancelled. While Deccan Express and Mumbai Pune Inter-city express have been cancelled, Pune Mumbai Sinhagad Express has been short terminated at Kalyan and will return to Pune via Panvel.
Pragati Exp has been short terminated at Panvel and will return to Pune from Panvel.
Manmad-Mumbai Panchvati Exp will return from Kasara while Manmad- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) express will return from Nasik Road. Nagpur-Mumbai Sewagram Express has been short terminated at Igatpuri while Kolhapur-Mumbai Sahyadri Exp has been short terminated at Chinchwad near Pune and will return from Pune.
The prestigious Deccan Queen will return to Pune from Lonavala.
Long distance trains terminating/originating from CST/Dadar are regulated in the section while long distance trains from LTT are delayed.
More trains cancelled
Central Railways has announced more cancellations of long distance trains for journey commencing on June 19 and June 20.
For June 19, the Mumbai-Pune Indrayani express, Pune-Solapur Intercity express, Solapur-Pune Intercity express, Pune-Mumbai Indrayani express, Dadar-Madgaon Janshatabdi express, Mumbai-Hazur Sahib Nanded Tapovan express and the Mumbai-Bhusaval passenger.
Trains that have been cancelled on Saturday, June 20, are Madgaon-Dadar Janshatabdi express,Hazur Sahib Nanded-Mumbai Tapovan express and the Bhusaval-Mumbai passenger.
Western Railway advisory
On Western Railway, the overflowing Dharawi Nallah has resulted in water logging at Matunga Road suspending suburban services between Andheri and Churchgate. Western Railway is coordinating with BMC to improve the situation and restore train services.
A Western Railway Advisory has said that commuters may travel only in case of emergency.
The Railways has requested passengers to check the departure/arrival of long distance trains on www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes or dial 139 or download the App NTES for real time status.
