The Maharashtra Government will be signing 12 large Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with companies from across the globe including the US, China, South Korea and Singapore on Monday evening.

Business captains, country missions and bilateral investment agencies will join the MoUs signing event via video link, a press statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said.

The MoU signing event would be attended by the State Chief Minister and Industries Minister.

The statement, issued late on Sunday evening said that the State Government will also reveal its Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0 road map with initiatives such as automatic permissions in 48 hours through the Maha Parwana route, plug and play infrastructure, a land bank of more than 40,000 acres for industries,

Flexible rental and pricing structures and industry employment bureau for local skills The state will aim to convey its readiness for the 2020 post-pandemic world where investments are readily met with a capable ecosystem, the statement said.

Magnetic Maharashtra has been an initiative of the State Government for attracting global investments.

The statement pointed out that globally and in Maharashtra, the health care systems are scaling up to meet the unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The State’s economic response has remained resilient to offset the long-term impact.

The State Government has methodically reopened more than 60,000 industries and business units in the state employ about 15 lakh people.
