Malaysia is seeking more tourists from Andhra Pradesh and India. The Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board has announced special offers and packages for the season.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, Noor Azman Bin Samsudin, Director (South India and Sri Lanka) of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, has said that as part of the promotional event, the Malaysian government has tied up with Air Asia to provide to and fro air ticket to Malaysia for a price of ₹7,999 from here. The offer will be valid from November 30 to December 15 for a travel period till April 2018, he said.
K Vijayamohan, Chairman of Domestic Tour Operators Association of India, said the tour operators in Visakhapatnam have also come up with a three-night package to Malaysia for ₹7,500, for the same period. “But our bookings will be open till December 30,” he said.
“It is roughly estimated that 5-6 lakh tourists from India visit Malaysia every year,” he said.
