To broaden the market for weavers, rural artisans and craftsmen, SHGs, rural entrepreneurs, and farmers’ producer organisations, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) Karnataka Regional Office has invited wholesalers and online marketing vendors to its Grameena Habba.
The Habba will be held from September 28 to October 7 at Premachandra Hall in Jayanagar, here.
Through this Nabard is connecting producers with the market by providing marketing opportunity to the rural artisans which is an important link to ensure sustainability.
“To achieve this, we have invited them for our Grameena Habba provide a platform for business-to-business interactions to enable rural artisans to improve their marketing network and upscale the business,” said a Nabard official.
“This platform also helps rural artisans get feedback about consumer taste and preference, modify their product designs and creations according to market trends and needs and understand the nitty gritty of marketing. The urban population also gets a chance to encourage artisans/producers directly,” he added.
For the habba, Nabard has lined up an array of products from across Karnataka including the famous Mulaklmuru saris, Kausti embroidery saris, Channapatna toys, banana fibre products, organic millets and pulses, and spices and dry-fruits.
