The State government has offered 40 cents of land to the navy at Muvattupuzha.
The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, made this offer to Vice-Admiral Sathish Sony, chief of Southern Naval Command. They met at the Chief Minister’s chamber in the State Assembly complex here on Tuesday.
The offer was made following a request from Vice-Admiral Sony for land to set up utility services for ex-Servicemen.
The Chief Minister also issued a directive for grant of one acre of land to the Navy in Ernakulam for a housing scheme.
