The Telangana Tourism has launched the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam cruise trips covering 110 km in the Krishna river through the picturesque Nallamalla forest range.
The cruise takes about 6 hours one way. The tourism department has packaged it in such away that the two-day trip begins in Hyderabad by bus on Wednesdays and Saturdays, packaging it with Srisailam temple visit.
From Nagarjunasagar, tourists board the cruise and visit the Nagajunakonda Museum.
During the trip to Srisailam, they are served food. After reaching Srisailam, they spend the night at the tourism guest house.
Temple visit The next morning, they have darshan at the Mallikarjunaswamy temple and begin their journey back to Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad-Nagarjunsgar-Srisailam-Hyderabad trip costs 3,800 for adults and ₹3,000 for children. There are also separate cruise only packages.
The cruise was launched as Nagarjunasagar received heavy inflows in October. Tourists also get to explore the scenic beauty of Nallamalla forest range during the cruise and road journey.
