NTPC on Thursday announced that it has installed an 110 KWp (Kilowatt peak power) solar microgrid project at the NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA) campus in Greater Noida.
An official statement from NTPC said that the system is designed to maximize the Photo Voltaic (solar power) generation in case of grid interruptions. This type of microgrid will be useful in places where grid is weak or absent, it added
The system architecture and centralised control has been designed in-house to monitor and control all generating sources, storage and loads.
