With over 53 lakh beneficiaries vaccinated against Covid-19 on Sunday, September 12, India has surpassed the 74 crore mark in terms of total doses administered, according to the official data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the data, as of September 13, 7am, India had administered 74,38,37,643 total doses of the vaccine including 56,48,34,748 first doses and 17,90,02,895 second doses.
Around 53,38,945 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the last 24 hours. Of this, 35,21,708 received their first dose while.18,17,237 received their second.
Among the States, Uttar Pradesh is leading the overall vaccination drive with 8,69,17,316 total doses administered so far. It is followed by Maharashtra with 6,78,91,408 total doses administered and Gujarat with 5,24,43,975 doses.
Uttar Pradesh is also leading in terms of first doses, having administered 7,22,57,443 first doses so far. It is followed by Maharashtra at 4,92,57,090 doses and Madhya Pradesh with 4,18,27,440 doses.
In terms of second doses, Maharashtra tops the list having administered 1,86,34,318 second doses. It is followed by Uttar Pradesh with 1,46,59,873 doses and Gujarat with 1,41,94,969 doses.
India’s coronavirus infection tally is over 33.2 million. As per the official data, the active caseload stands at 374269, down by 10652 cases. The number of cured/discharged/migrated patients increased by 37687 to 32447032. 219 new deaths were recorded taking the death toll to 442874.
