The Bangalore-based Sami Labs has signed an MoU with Kottakkal Arya Vaidysala for incorporating modern scientific methods and technology for enhancing the knowledge base of ayurveda. The major areas identified for cooperation are: Marketing of AVS products by Sami Labs; co-development of new products; development of standardised herbal extracts; exploring possibilities of large-scale cultivation of medicinal plants through contract farming; creating public awareness and seeking government’s support in efforts to conserve and cultivate endangered medicinal plant species. The MoU was signed at Kottakkal by the Managing Trustee of AVS, PK Warrier, and Muhammed Majeed, founder and Managing Director of Sami Labs.
