A five-day National Banana Festival, being organised by the Centre for Innovation in Science & Social Action at Kalliyoor in the rural outback from February 17 to 21, has called for papers for presentation. Abstracts should be submitted before January 15. Details are available at www.bananafest.in.
CK Peethambaran, chairman of the seminar committee, said the idea is to provide a platform to disseminate the latest knowledge and developments in the banana sector. The focal theme would be ‘Conserving diversity, preserving identity and promoting value addition.’
