The city-based Peerless Hospital, a part of the Peerless Group, is looking to invest close to Rs 300 crore over the next three years for creation of new capacity and upgradation of its existing facility.
According to Sujit Purkayastha, Managing Director, Peerless Hospital, plans are afoot to set up a separate cancer and transplant unit within the existing campus on EM Bypass. It also plans to add 200 beds to its existing capacity of 400 beds.
While a portion of the investment would be through internal accruals, it would also look for external capital support to fund its growth needs.
"The work is likely to commence early next year; it should be ready in the next 2-3 years," Purkayastha told newspersons at a press conference here on Thursday.
