PepsiCo has announced that it will create an integrated citrus cluster in the state of Maharashtra. The company has already invested ₹180 crore in a citrus processing facility in Nanded.
PepsiCo chief Indira Nooyi met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to discuss collaboration towards skill development in Maharashtra with a focus on support from PepsiCo to modernise ITI's as well as skill development of workers in various food processing plants.
“To accomplish the objectives, PepsiCo India and Goverment of Maharashtra exchanged a Letter of Intent for mutual collaboration. Senior officials from both sides are expected to continue the discussions in subsequent meetings next month,” said a statement from PepsiCo
