Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC) has sanctioned a term loan of Rs 4,009 crore to the Telangana Power Generation Corporation Lt (TSGENCO) for setting up a 4000 MW thermal power plant.
A company statement said PFC would lend the amount to TSGENCO for the 5X800 MW coal-based Yadadri Thermal Power Plant using super-critical technology in Nalgonda district of Telangana. The Yadadri plant would generate approximately 29,784 million units of energy.
PFC’s cumulative sanction to Telangana stands at Rs 28,210 crore and disbursala towards various projects in generation, transmission and distribution in the state is at Rs 16,156 crore.
