The State-level convention of All India Public Sector & Central Govt Officers Confederation (AIPCOC) has urged the Centre to drop its move to sell off CPSE units operating in Kerala.

It said CPSEs such as BEML, HNL and HLL are having a great influence on the economy and Kerala’s development and the presence of these units give hope to the educated youth of the State.

AIPCOC meeting also requested the State government, political parties and the public to come out in support of strengthening these CPSEs and to retain them in the public sector.

AIPCOC is the national confederation of officers from Central Govt, banks, insurance sector, railways and Central Public Sector Enterprises. The united organisation of officers has been formed with a broad perspective to collectively resist the anti-PSU policies.

The meeting was presided over by G Anilkumar, National Joint Secretary, AIPCOC.
