Activities to boost preparedness ahead of the annual pilgrim season at Sabarimala will be completed in a time-bound manner, according to Chief Secretary and Chief Commissioner of Devaswoms K. Jayakumar.
He said this while addressing a meeting to discuss the pre-season arrangements and facilitations to be provided for at the hill shrine, among the busiest in south India.
The meeting resolved that utmost attention be accorded to ensuring quality of the edible prasada offerings of aravana and appam.
In this connection, discussions would be held with the food safety commissioner during the next week, Jayakumar said.
Godown facilities would be provided to ensure safe and covered storage for varied items at the base camp of Pampa, he added.
