AIADMK General Secretary V.K. Sasikala has expelled E. Madhusudhanan, a senior leader and presidium chairman of the AIADMK, from the party for carrying out anti-party activities and bringing ill repute to the party.
This follows a day after Madhusudhanan extended his support to Chief Minister O. Pannerselvam, who had revolted against Sasikala after she was appointed Legislative Party leader of the AIADMK that will make her Chief Minister of the State.
KA Sengottaiyan has replaced Madhusudhanan as presidium chairman of the party in the Assembly, says a press release issued by Sasikala.
Following the revolt, Pannerselvam was immediately stripped from the post of party treasurer.
