In line with this commitment, CGPL, in partnership with the Government of Gujarat and the respective panchayat, organised this program, which covered over 1000 children and provided encouragement to parents to enrol their wards in schools.
While the special focus of the programme is on raising awareness on enrolling the girl child in schools, it emphasized on importance of education for all.
CGPL also distributed 1000 school kits apart from books for primary school children. Several Aganwadi workers nominated children to receive nutrition kits in order to improve health and hygiene status among them. Program also included setting up of Shiksha Sarathi Stalls to spread message of literacy and impact of Shiksha Saarthi effectively. A tree plantation drive was also undertaken by the children, to underscore the importance of a green environment.
