Tourism Authority of Thailand conducted a road show in Mangalore on Friday. Sethaphan Buddhani, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai, said Thailand received 9.16 lakh Indian tourists in 2011 and 10.16 lakh Indian tourists in 2012. He said the Authority forecasts 13 lakh Indian tourists during 2013. As a part of the strategy for 2013, the Authority will promote newer regions such as Northern Thailand, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Khao Yai along with attractions from South such as Trang, Surat Thani and Koh Samui, he said.
