The Plantation Labour Committee set up by the Kerala government will meet in Thiruvananthapuram to discuss the demands of, and problems faced by, the striking estate workers. The plantation sector in the State has come to a standstill with workers going on indefinite strike demanding that daily wage be increased to ₹500 from about ₹230.
