A two-day exclusive job fair for recruitment by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) began in National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) premises here on Sunday and attracted thousands of job-aspirants.

According to the online registration which has commenced already, over 50 MSMEs and 8,000 job aspirants would be participating in the event being organised by the ni-msme in association with the TMI group.

Entry level hiring

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Union Minister for MSME, Kalraj Mishra, said there was a need to conduct similar job melas in other parts of the country to ensure availability of talent for MSMEs and jobs for the aspiring candidates.

T Muralidharan, Executive Chairman of TMI Group, said: “The job fair creates a platform for both potential employers and employees who are genuinely interested in working with each other, to meet and close the recruitment process.”

During the fair, employers could hire talent at both entry level (0-7 years of work experience) and managerial level over 15 years of experience, he added.

No participation fee is charged from the candidates. A nominal refundable security deposit for stall booking is charged to employers.
