Four Trinamool Congress leaders on Thursday afternoon met CBI officials at one of their city offices.
Sources said the Trinamool leaders submitted to the Central investigating agency details regarding the party’s income and expenses.
The CBI had on Monday sent a notice to the TMC headquarters seeking details of the party’s income and expenditure between 2010 and 2014.
“We have come here on behalf of the party to submit some documents,” said Tapas Roy, one of the leaders. He did not confirm the contents of the documents.
PTI reports: A CBI source had said the notice had been sent to Subrata Bakshi, TMC all-India general secretary. The party was given a week’s time to respond to the notice.
