The Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao has given green signal to Transco and the State Electricity Department to finalise agreement with the Chattisgarh Government for purchase of 1000 MW of power.
Telangana and the capital city of Hyderabad are faced with power deficit and purchase of power from the neighbouring power surplus State is expected to bridge the demand supply gap.
During a review meeting, according to a statement, the Chief Minister also instructed the officials to promote solar roof top metering in urban areas.
