DMK chief MK Stalin's son and actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has been appointed as the party's youth wing secretary. This post was held by MK Stalin for for 35 years.
With Vellakovil Saminathan offering to resign as DMK's youth wing secretary citing personal reasons, the party has appointed Udhayanidhi Stalin in his place, says a party press release.
Udhayanidhi Stalin, 42, is the managing director of family-owned Murasoli Trust founded by his grandfather and former State chief minister M Karunanidhi. He was one of the star campaigners in the recent Lok Sabha elections and by-elections in the state.
