The Joint Parliamentary Committee looking into the new Land Bill has invited suggestions from various stakeholders including public bodies, organisations and individuals..
The suggestions have to reach the Joint Secretary (RS), Lok Sabha Secretariat by June 8.
The new Land Bill—The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Second Amendment)Bill, 2015— is currently pending in the Lok Sabha.
This Bill has been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Panel (of both the Houses) under the Chairmanship of S.S.Ahluwalia, a Member of Parliament, for examination and presenting a report to the Parliament.
