Vijay Sankar, Deputy Chairman of the Sanmar group, has taken over as President, Indian Chemical Council (ICC) for a two-year period. ICC is an apex industry body dedicated to the growth and promotion of the chemical industry in India. The $150-billion industry is among the largest contributors to the country’s GDP. The ICC offers policy advices to the government and concerned organisations, according to a statement.
