National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) has signed a memorandum of understanding each with European Business Technology Centre (EBTC) and Lovely Professional University.
EBTC is a not-for-profit organisation facilitating Europe-India cross-border collaboration in technology transfer and IP management. The MoU is for capacity building in intellectual property management by organising training programmes in IP management and patent research and analysis and commercialisation of IPRs.
The agreement was signed by the Chairman & Managing Director of NRDC, H Purushotham, and Paul B Jansen, Director EBTC.
In another MoU, NRDC and Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar, Punjab, have agreed to license and commercialise the patented technologies developed by the latter. The corporation will also support the university in filing and commercialising its IPRs.
LPU has several interesting market-oriented inventions/patented technologies like targeted drug delivery of colon cancer, and fitness bracelet, for which NRDC will be looking forward to transfer these technologies to industries, a press release stated.
