Power Grid Corporation of India has reported a ₹2,004.68-crore profit for the fourth quarter of Financial Year 2017-2018.
This is 4.6 per cent higher than the ₹1,916.36-crore profit reported in the same quarter of Financial Year 2016-2017.
The company board recommended a final dividend of 28 per cent, that is, ₹2.80 per share of ₹10 each.
This is in addition to the interim dividend of 24.5 per cent — ₹2.45 per share — paid on February 15.
A company statement said that during the quarter under consideration, total income stood at ₹8,098.93 crore. The total income in the corresponding period of Financial Year 2016-2017 was ₹7,049.69 crore .
For the full Financial Year 2017-2018, net profit stood at ₹8,238.96 crore against ₹7 ,520.15 crore during Financial Year 2016-2017.
The turnover during fiscal 2017-2018 was ₹30,766.32 crore, up from ₹26,576.70 during fiscal 2016-2017.
