Over 120 real estate developers will showcase about 15,000 properties at the 4-day ‘Property 2012’ to be held at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra-Kurla Complex here, beginning November 1.

The Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), the organisers of the event, said properties across Mumbai and the metropolitan region, ranging from one bedroom-hall-kitchen to luxury apartments priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 5 crore would be on display. Developers from Pune and Kerala are also participating in the event. About 15 home finance institutions will also participate in the expo to offer loans for purchases made on the occasion.

Bomman Irani, Secretary, MCHI, said all properties sold at the exhibition would have the requisite approvals in place. Axis Bank is the co-organiser of the expo and the housing finance companies will offer spot loans to home buyers. Mayur Shah, Vice-President, MCHI, said the expo will have affordable homes in the price range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 60 lakh in distant suburbs such as Virar and Panvel. Buyer sentiment, which was on the a wait-and-watch mode, was improving as home loan rates have shown signs of easing after the recent CRR cut, he said.

Bandish Ajmera, chairman of the exhibition committee, felt budget homes would be a major attraction for home buyers, given the current market conditions.
