VBHC (Value Budget and Housing Corporation Pvt Ltd), a real estate player in affordable housing segment, has bagged the 'Best Green Building Project Award' at the 12th National Convention and Real Estate Awards 2014.
The award was felicitation of VBHC's contribution to the green building cause. This comes in addition to the green building certification EDGE (Excellence in Design For Greater Efficiencies) awarded to VBHC from IFC for its resource-efficient design — which includes such improvements as solar hot water collectors, energy-efficient lighting and ceiling fans, and low-flow faucets — and is projected to achieve reductions of up to 33 per cent in energy, 39 per cent in water, and 23 per cent in materials' embodied energy compared to local benchmarks, thus making it achieve the EDGE standard.
The company said the 12th National Convention and Real Estate Awards 2014 is a motivational gesture to honour the industry players and associates for their outstanding performance, contribution, and innovation brought about while serving the Indian real estate sector.
