Real estate private equity firm IREO has tied up with New York-based The Trump Organisation for an office tower in Gurugram, the company said in a statement on Friday.
IREO Private Ltd is the developer of the project and will use the ‘Trump’ name and mark under license from DT Tower Gurugram LLC. The project will be designed by Norman Foster-led architectural design firm Foster + Partners.
“We have enjoyed tremendous success in India with our existing properties in Mumbai and Pune, and we are thrilled to add yet another incredible development to our portfolio,” said Donald Trump Jr., Executive Vice-President of Development and Acquisitions, adding that, “This is the latest addition to the Trump Organisation’s portfolio of world-class properties further showcasing the amazing strength and demand for the Trump brand in India and around the globe.”
The new tower will come up along the premier Golf Course Extension Road in Gurugram.
Gurugram is well established as a premier destination for large corporates operating in India “However, despite more than 58 million sq ft of total office space, Gurugram still has a negligible supply of truly A-grade, international quality office spaces. Our partnership with a strong global brand like Trump is designed to fill this void,” Lalit Goyal, VC & MD of IREO, said.
