If you thought that only banks and other such organisations offer a gamut of services under one roof, here is an association of individuals who offer civil construction services – from concept to execution – as a one-stop shop.

Confluence – as the team identifies itself – is an association of 13 individuals who claim proven expertise in diverse aspects of civil construction.

Ask them what made them come up with such an idea, Rm Palaniappan, Partner, IBiz Corp, says “a friend of mine currently residing in Dubai wanted to construct a mansion and a ladies hostel near Kinnathukadavu in Coimbatore. He did not want to entrust the work to project developers/ promoters; he was instead looking for a one-stop solution. That triggered the idea. He has assigned us a project worth Rs 1.5 cr and plans to come up with a few more in the city,” explains Palaniappan, an expert in flooring solutions.

The team includes a structural consultant, a consultant in project management, and specialists in water treatment (commercial and residential), plumbing and flooring solutions, air-conditioning systems, lighting solutions, interior design, solar lighting, painting solutions, and a landscape architect.

“We do turnkey projects; customers can pick and choose the solutions they require, either to renovate an existing building or construction of a new one,” he said.

Within two months of coming together, the Confluence team has worked on three projects, including a resort at Udhagamandalam.

“Established builders are now turning to us; we handhold start-ups in this space,” said M Rashed Sheriff, Managing Director, ETW, and water treatment consultant.

Asked if they would confine their services in and around Coimbatore, K Jeganathan, Managing Director, Lando Technologies (India) Pvt Ltd, said they were open to opportunities outside the city as well.

The members are upbeat about this idea. “Enquiries have by and large been positive and there is huge untapped business potential in teaming up,” said Palaniappan.
