Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh has been suspended from the party for “being indiscipline to the party” and “carrying out anti-party activities”.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, TMC Secretary General and convenor of the party’s disciplinary committee, Partha Chatterjee, said, “We have suspended him with immediate effect as he was indiscipline to the party’s directions and did not follow a show-cause notice on September 20.”
Interestingly, Ghosh had last week called for party-level investigation to the over Rs 20,000 crore Saradha scam and threatened to reveal certain “embarrassing issues” before the ongoing inquiry by the Police. He was the CEO of Saradha Group’s media business and interrogated by the officials of the Biddhanagar Police Commissionerate on September 22.
