Surya Prakash Singh, a scientist at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology has been selected for the NASI-Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee award, 2012 in chemical sciences.
The National Academy of Sciences, India, has recognised his contribution in the area of solar cell research. The award is given for scientists below 35 years.
Singh also worked at a researcher at the Photovoltaic Materials Unit of the National Institute for Materials Science, Tsukuba, Japan.
He has published over 60 papers in solar energy sciences, according to a release from the institute.
