The 15th edition of Bangalore IT.biz will provide a platform for innovators, be it in products, technology, services or delivery space.

The platform will provide an opportunity for buyer and sellers to interact and explore business opportunities. It will also offer a unique online interlinX tool to connect people, said I.S.N. Prasad, Principal Secretary, Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka.

Bangalore IT.biz 2012 event will be held from October 17-19 at the Karnataka Trade and Promotion Organisation’s Trade Centre at Whitefield, Bangalore, he said at a roadshow on the event to woo delegates and participants from Chennai.

For the rich talent pool of Karnataka, this year’s event will feature ImpressIT, a platform for young engineering students in the State to express their ideas and relevance in the space of IT solutions. Students will showcase their ideas to academicians and industry practitioners under the aegis of the Karnataka Government’s IT Vision Group and SAP, the German IT company, he said on Tuesday.

Track conference

Another addition to this year’s event is a track conference on smart phones and smart developers. This track will cover the era of mobility and the development of mobile applications across platforms. It is designed for developers to discuss technical insights in these platforms and the pros/cons for development approach, he said.
