The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST) observed the CSIR foundation day here on Wednesday.
K.V. Raghavan, distinguished professor and former director of CSIR-NIIST, was the chief guest. Suresh Das, current director, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.
In his address, Raghavan reminded the audience that CSIR had partnered with almost 50,000 companies and owned more than 4,500 patents.
