Senior Assistant Editor of ‘The Hindu’, Thiruvananthapuram, passed away at a private hospital here Saturday, family sources said.
He was 47. He is survived by his wife, daughter and parents.
Mahadevan joined ‘The Hindu’ as a staff reporter in 1996 and covered education for the newspaper and was its city editor in the state capital during 2014-15.
A public speaker and Carnatic music enthusiast, he had also lent his voice to several English television and film documentaries.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Ramesh Chennithala were among those who condoled his death.
