The Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), an apex training institute set up by the Gujarat Government, on Tuesday announced to make available 30 lakh e-books online in the next one month for the benefit of those appearing in various competitive examinations, readers, working professionals and researchers.

Its vast array of books and periodicals have also been made accessible from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm effective June 1 for members and students of SPIPA, said Vipul Mittra, Director-General, here.

The SPIPA library houses nearly 50,560 books on various subjects and subscribes over 100 national and international magazines pertaining to domestic and global issues.

SPIPA charges a nominal membership fee of Rs. 500 for two years.

SPIPA was set up in 1962 with the objective of training government functionaries. The library incorporates the latest print and digital resources on subjects such as public administration, rural development, disaster management, social sciences, local self government among others.
