Handset maker HTC Mobiles today said it has become the lead sponsor for North East United FC (NEUFC) for this season of Hero ISL.
The Hero Indian Super League is a professional football league in the country. It will feature eight franchise teams from all around India with matches commencing from October 12.
“The mobile brand will occupy the front chest position on the NEUFC Jersey being the principal sponsors of the team as they enter the championship which kicks off on 12th of October 2014,” HTC said in a statement.
Creatigies, one of the leading Sports Marketing Companies in India, assisted the unison of NEUFC and HTC mobiles, it added.
“We are happy to have partnered with NEUFC in the very first year of their being. We wanted to be part of this Soccer Revolution and what better geography than North East when it comes to Soccer. We would also like to thank John for his involvement and hands-on approach in running the Club,” HTC India Vice President and Country head Faisal Siddiqui said.
