There are two games in the IPL6 tournament slotted at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. today and scheduled in cities in peninsular India with almost similar weather features.

First, there is no possibility of the weather intruding and disrupting either match, if model forecasts are any indication.

SCATTERED CLOUDS

This is despite the presence of a cyclonic circulation over Telangana meteorological subdivision, within which Hyderabad falls.

The capital of Andhra Pradesh will host the night game scheduled to start at 8 p.m. between hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In line with the presence of the cyclonic circulation, scattered clouds could be present during the day with a relatively high 51 per cent humidity to start with.

It will grow less humid towards the evening but increasingly breezy as well with winds blowing from the southeast direction clocking 15 to 20 km/hr.

HOT AND HUMID

Temperature and humidity levels are expected to come down appreciably by the time the match sets off to a start.

In the meantime, Pune, the city to the northwest of Hyderabad, would just have witnessed the match between hosts Pune Warriors and Kings XI Punjab.

It would have seen another hot and humid day to start with, getting hotter and increasingly windy towards the evening (15 to 20 km/hr).

Here again, it is likely that the weather would have behaved through the duration of the match. Humidity level would have reduced appreciably making things bearable for players out in the field.

The cloud cover is likely to have expanded towards the evening, too.
