*Mendis became the first Sri Lankan bowler to bowl two maiden overs in a four—over spell in a T20I. Shaun Tait had delivered two maiden overs in the 2010 World Twenty20, registering the feat against Bangladesh.
*Mendis is the first and only bowler to capture six wickets in an innings and that too twice in Twenty20 Internationals.
