The national IT committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry is partnering the Centre to extend the reach of information technology and familiarisation of cloud computing among the small and medium enterprises of West Bengal.
“This year we have chosen two areas to work with. One is enabling cloud in India and developing more applications around that,” Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman of CII’s national committee said here on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the industry body.
A recent ASSOCHAM study has named West Bengal to be in the lead for generating jobs in small and medium enterprise sector. The sector created over 43,000 jobs between April 2011 and up to February 15, 2012, it stated.
