The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved a postgraduate diploma programme in human resource management of TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal.
A press release from TAPMI said here on Wednesday that the Postgraduate Diploma in Management in Human Resources Management (PGDM-HR) also gives an opportunity to the student to take the exam for SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) global certification.
‘High-quality course’
Quoting Madhu Veeraraghavan, TAPMI Director, it said that TAPMI is committed to providing the highest quality HR education. The curriculum aligns with the ‘HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates’ set by the SHRM for the HR management courses.
SHRM developed these guidelines to define the content areas that must be studied by an HR student at the undergraduate and graduate level, it said.
Leadership assessment
The students are groomed to develop leadership competences under the aegis of TAPMI’s Leadership Assessment and Development Centre, and they are trained to become opinion leaders through a detailed research of contemporary HR topic which they publish in an academic or industry related journal, it said.
