Club Enerji, Tata Power's energy conservation initative had orgainsed an awareness drive at the Gateway of India to create social awareness about the dangers posed to public health due to increasing rate of water pollution in the city.
Approximate 90 students aged 7-8 years participated in the awareness programme sensitising 900 people. The drive included a street play performance, followed by a puppet show on a ferry around the Gateway of India. The objective of this initiative was to educate the public at large about the risks associated with water pollution and consequent health hazards it poses, along with encouraging children to become socially responsible citizens of the country.
